HOW TO CREATE YOUR OWN WEEKLY GYST
| MY HOMEMADE ECO CLEANING PRODUCTS |
How many times throughout your busy week have you thought to yourself, “ahh I wish I had my sh#t more organised!”
for most people the answer is ALOT! And if you’re one of them I highly, HIGHLY suggest adding in a GYST day every single week. On this day you attend to the shitty little tasks that you don’t think are as important, but these little tasks actually are up your week of feeling more organised, clean and onto of your shi#t.
It’s one of my CEE methods to get yourself in a state of feeling successful and organised.
my gyst day breakdown
I write a list of the things I know I need to do
I have a list of the things I already need to do (regular weekly GYST day tasks)
Schedule in time slots for when to achieve these tasks
GOAL - Achieve the little tasks I wouldn’t normally think of like ( cleaning makeup brushes, in the kitchen draws, washing my bed linen etc. )
Prepare myself for the rest of the week eg. meal prep, weekly planning etc. (this is why I have my GYST day on a Sunday)
HOW TO PLAN YOUR WEEKLY GYST DAY
Write a list of what you need to do on your GYST day
Throughout your week, prior towards your GYST day approaches, when you feel like there is a task or job that needs to be done but you don’t have time for it, start writing them all down ( cleaning car, book shelf, organising emails )
Don’t leave ALL your tasks until your GYST day
DO NOT MAKE THIS ROOKIE MISTAKE.. I HAVE BEEN THERE.. it flipping sucks! haha you end up HATING your GYST days because you have left your self with 101 task to be done IN ONE DAY! Slowly achieve things spread throughout your week and just chip away at house work and little jobs when you have the chance, a GYST day is basically to enhance an organised life but you still want to be making and creating habits to become a functional organised boss bit#*. And the best way by doing that in consistency of setting and achieving small tasks throughout your week.
Plan your GYST on a realistic day
Obviously you’re not going to plan your GYST day on a day you’re working back to back and know you’re going to be exhausted. My GYST days are on my rest day (usually Sunday) when I know that i’m not going to be doing too much physical activity and can put my energy into being productive with my GYST tasks. So to prepare for your day, START FRESH.. have a healthy breakfast, and get yourself hyped for this day *tip MUSIC HELPS!
Find your GYST routine method
Lastly, finding your method to how you achieve your GYST day. Because I work from home, i’m lucky enough to be able to spread my tasks throughout the day to achieve when needed and I personally prefer it that way, but maybe you want to schedule in 2-3 hours where your task achieving mode is switched ON. There is no wrong or right way to have this day, it’s just completely what suits you.
MY HOMEMADE ECO FRIENDLY, ALL NATURAL CLEANING RECIPES
Store bought cleaning products are one of the first things to eliminate when wanting to reduce toxins and chemicals from our households. Now don’t get me wrong.. Man are they convenient and nothing tingles my clean freak side like a good bleached kitchen.. BUT I am doing my best to keep my household as natural and eco friendly as possible, not only for the environment, to save money and for my health, but also because putting effort into areas like this feeds the mindset of being able to set a goal and accomplished. I don’t want any area in my life where I rely on connivence and it’s really satisfies me knowing I can beat the lazy attitude and break habitual choices towards little lifestyle changes.
For me making homemade all-natural cleaning projects is actually a fun tasks because you guys know I love making recipes and getting creative, It’s now just making the time to quickly whip them up and transferring the mix into glass bottles, mine I just resourced from Ebay, but I know this awesome online store where I buy a few of my shopping bags and containers from stocks them also, click here
